1914 is the Baltic Exhibition in Malmö and Knut Henrik Littorin is persuaded to exhibit some of his Russian artworks. Preparations in the city of Malmö have been going on for several years, but due to the outbreak of the First World War, the exhibition did not gain the appeal expected. The German and Russian exhibitors cancel their participation, and the Russians hastily forget about an extensive and valuable art collection. After the war, Josef Stalin exerts pressure to recover the Soviet state property, but the city of Malmö stubbornly refuses to return them. The art collection is still in the Malmö Art Museum.
