Cycling on Varaslätten

Outside the castle gate, beautiful bike paths await you and 10 minutes further away Kvänum MTB course. The combination of beautiful nature, varied cycling routes and our package suggestions with food and accommodation creates the best cycling holiday.

Cycling on the country road

Cycling on the Vara Plain We suggest for those who want to enjoy the bike ride which is about 20 km and takes you past several lovely stops through open landscapes. We also have suggestions for tours for tougher and easier routes that are between 4-8 miles.

Tours are posted in www.ridewithgps.com and can be imported into different GPS.

Bike MTB

If you wish to ride a mountain bike on a track in the forest, we can recommend the tracks at Oltorp Outdoor Recreation Area A few miles from the castle.

Rent or borrow a bike

Bicycle rental is available at Evalds in Kvänum and Lidköping. Contact jimmy@evaldsmtb.se or call 0512-928 60 for reservations. Possibility to flush and lock the bike during the night is available.

If you want to take a simpler ride, there are a few ordinary bikes to borrow freely from us at the castle, i.e. not a racer or MTB.

Bicycle Package

With our bike package you will get help with the tours or guide if you wish. The package also includes a booster snack — including the chefs' energy bars — a three-course dinner, overnight stay and castle breakfast.
